ERL Question
#1
"as of August 27th (apparently the last update) your car is scheduled to be built the week of August 22nd"
Does she ever update after the build date? If so, why doesn't she know whether the car has been built yet? Is this message a good or bad sign?
I am now without transportation until my mustang arrives - the answers to these questions will determine whether I go through the time and expense to rent a car until delivery. Thanks.

Mine was built on the 17th, shipped the 19th, and arrived on the 26th. I'm in South Jersey and the shipping time can vary depending on your location. As for the ERL, it updated a couple of days after it shipped saying that "As of ### your unit has shipped via convoy" or something like that. Hope you get your car soon & good luck!

Looks like your actual build date was probably the 27th. The next message you should get, IIRC, is "your vehicle has been released from the foreign assembly plant."
Then one that says "Shipped via convoy carrier."
Then "Shipped via rail carrier."
Then "Shipped via convoy carrier" again.

Last week ERL said that "as of Aug 31, Unit was locked in for production for week of Aug 29". Now when I call it's back to saying just "as of Aug 31, you are scheduled to be built week of Aug 29". I wonder why I am not locked in anymore and just scheduled.

That change back from "locked-in" to "scheduled" is apparently normal. You get locked in when you get a blend date, the date they figure when you car will go inthe line on the build day. Build is usually a week or so after that.
Your "as of 8/27 you are scheduled for week of 8/22" after a lockiin often indicates that 8/22 was your blend date. Mine is the same. Our cars may be getting built today as I type this!

Mine switched back like that on the same day it was bucked.

What does bucked mean? Just curious. -Marci

That's good to know, I was getting a little worried that maybe some commodity issue was going to delay the build.

Bucked means everything is in place and ready for your car to be built.
That's the best explaination I have. If you need more, try a search. I remember someone recently asked what the exact definition was.

I was told this morning that my car arrived at the ramp on 8/28.
What exactly do they mean by arrived at the ramp.

I called my dealer to see if they could get an ETA, no word back yet.
Just got the call, my car is in Detroit waiting on a train. Could be any day now, but the dealer said most likely next week.
