Two days ago she said that as of July 14th I was scheduled for the week of Aug 15th.

Yesterday she said as of Aug 16th, I was locked-in for the week of Aug 15th. Then today she said as of Aug 16th, I was scheduled for the week of Aug 15th.

Two questions: Why would she give an "as of date" that is in the future, and why did it go from "locked-in" back to "scheduled"? :bang:

I think I will go down to the dealership and take a Friday afternoon test drive. That will make me feel better.

I can only imagine how hard it was for you guys that had to wait for 8 months or so to get your new Stang!

This is normal - your car will start down the line on 8/16.

I checked late last night and I got changed from "scheduled for production" to "locked in for production" week of 8/15. Didn't check to see if it changed today, though. Guess we're getting close!!!!

When the Fembot switches to the future tense, the "as of" day is the day your car will be built. Congrats. Better clean out the garage!

You know what, I think she did say "as of the 17th" or something. Wasn't really paying attention to that part. I'll have to double check later.

Around the dealer, you might have to refer to it as something other than "Evil Robot Lady." Seriously though, I don't know, I never had to call her.

When they give a date it is usually the week of rather than the exact day.

TennTang,

I have received the exact same sequence. I went from... as of 7/14 your vehicle will be built the week of 8/15..... to as of 8/16 (a future date) your vehicle is locked in to be built on the week of 8/15. Then this morning it was ... as of 8/16 (still a future date) your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of 8/15. What happened to the locked in stuff!!

What a ride of emotions!! You think you are about to get built, then you seem to roll back to the way it has been for the last three weeks. What a roller coaster ride. This could drive a fellow to drink (drink more!!)

I can attest to that. Kzinti rocks! He's also got incredible patience.

Oh yes, it has been a wild ride.

But, I can tell you for a fact, I have a 06 on order because of this board. It started off as a neat board to read. Then, I started getting the fever by reading all the posts. Then the next thing I know, I have ordred a new car!

I almost let "new car fever" get the best of me today. I stoped by a dealership, and they had one just like I wanted it. It was a V-6 vert and they priced it at $700 over invoice.

Sure hope I can hold out for the 06!

No. In this case, that's the build actual build date. Biznazion was right. Notice how it gives an "as of" date in the future?

For once a salesman was actually honest!
That's just a TMS nickname for the automated recordings from the "Dealer Only" phone number.

HAaha. That song sure is getting sweet for me too. A week ago I had a build date of 8/22 which I was happy with. I called today and she was singing as of 8/17 you are locked in for the week of 8/15. SING baby SING!
