I went out to my car today after work and tried to unlock with the keyless entry...no luck. Weird, but possible that i got a defective battery in it. So i unlock with the key and press the unlock button on the door...not happening. Great, 3 weeks old and a dead battery already? Nope...started up no problem. But I had no guages, windows, locks, lights, radio, etc. Called a local dealership, they said put it on a flatbed and bring it in. So now I'm without my baby while they try to figure this out. Did a search, but didn't see anything about this, and the service guy said he hadn't heard anything either. Any thoughts from all you experts at TMS?

Yeah, I did that search too...but nothing that came up was relevant to what happened to my car. I also searched "electrical" and a few others. Good try though

sounds like an altenator, least the no electrical items is a sign of a bad altenator.

Your battery is dead. It seems to me like it is the same issue reported in all of those links.

If you read his first post, he states his battery is NOTdead. It started fine.

Exactly...that's why I posted. I still haven't heard from my service tech. to know if they found the problem or not. Will post as soon as I know what the deal was.

Good, as I am curious as to what this is....and if I can also "look forward" to enjoying this very same incident.

Latest update from the service tech: Says the diagnostic computer cannot communicate with my car, so they are replacing the "smart box." Won't have that until Tuesday, and then we'll see.

I just had an installer friend put an alarm in my 06 GT. While he was in the pass side kick panel the headlights were coming on. I told him and he looked around. The blue connector on the SJB was not latched and was starting to come out. He latched it in and all is good.

Ok, so they replaced the SJB and everything is back to normal. But now I have Daytime Running Lights and my locks lock when I start to drive. I don't mind the locks, in fact I was bummed that I didn't have them originally. But the DRL's have got to go. Is there a way to disable them without losing the auto locks too? Is it as simple as pulling a fuse?

They are on all Mustangs (actually any car) sold in Canada.

Take the car back to your dealer and remind them they should have configured the SJB after they installed it. It is easy for them to do with their test tool, it must have gotten overlooked when they installed the new SJB.

My car did the same thing while I was driving it...... They found a loose ground going to the same box. It was very strange, 70 mph at night raining and crappy. All of a sudden bam!!! No lights in or outside, Motor running fine I was about 100 miles from home in the middle of nowhere. I looked all over and nothing, all of a sudden after a few phone calls everything starts working..... I hope this doesn't become a real problem. Oh yea... My brakes didn't work right either, like manual but worse. Very strange....
