Engine noise inside the cabin.. after wiring a power cable through the firewall :(
I just had my sound system upgraded to add a new 2 channel RockFord Fosgate 1000 Watts amp, an EarthQuake 1.5F capacitor, and a 12" Punch sub in the trunk.
the setup is pretty sweet and the sound is great.. however i'm now hearing the engine noise inside the car!
i'm not talking about static through the speakers, the noise seem to come from behind the glove compartment, right where the power cable of the new Amplifier was routed through the firewall to the battery in the engine compartment..
the wire runs through a rubber seal type of thing, and i felt it myself.. it's there, seemingly intact
what could it be that the installers have messed up? it's really bugging me
Any comments? Please? :'(
