Engine Accent Upgrade
I did have stainless steel at first but I changed to red because I plan to put in brushed aluminum parts. I have one of the aluminum expansion tanks on the way now. I really think things will balance out as I continue the work. Someone has to dare to be different!
Wow! I can see that there are a lot less fans of the crimson interior accent package than I thought...! I take it most don't like the red color scheme. If you hate what I did so far in the engine compartment you will really hate the trunk. I guess I just have to hope that once I put some aluminum under the hood that it will bring things to life like the evanescense song describes. "Wake Me UP!"
I don't even think it's the actual red under the hood - it's the piecey appearance. You have red hoses snaking all over the bay pulling eyes all over the place - the one by the radiator cover is is taking all the attention away from the rest of the engine. The little hoses are the main offenders - the larger hoses and the covers look fine to me.Sorry, but it doesn't have anything to "daring to be different' or making your car unique. We're talking the basic tenants of composition that is pleasing to the eye. The same rules apply to advertising, art, photography, and yes, even Mustangs
Red and aluminum is great - just need to revise the application a bit! Last edited by BlueSkyVert; Mar 29, 2008 at 01:39 PM.
I just ordered the fuel rail covers from Midwest Auto Gear, that match the Ford plenum cover. I will post a photo after I install them. For more details on what I did under my hood please go to this thread.
