Effective 12/05/06 V6 Rebate now $1000

Just a note, the 2007 V6 rebate has been increased to $1000.00 effective 12/05. This matches the V8 rebates. Both in effect until 1/02.

Wow I didn't think there were any 06 GT's left. 2500 off MMMM I was thinking of a Winter beater so my 07GT/CS could stay in the Garage.

Great, they dropped the $500 cash back for a cash purchase with no dealer inventory restriction for a $1000 back with dealer inventory restriction. That doesn't help me as mine is coming in between 12/19 and 12/26.

Isn't "dealer stock" considered all ordered vehicles as well? It's still dealer stock - right?

Ford had a pretty horrible sales month in November.

Even the Mustang was down from last year, 10,230 sold in Nov 06 vs 11,030 sold Nov 05.

Hold tight, the incentives will get better on the 07 Mustang.

I need to do more research on buying, as I have a similar question as Frank: Is ordering on say 12/18/06 the same as taking from dealer stock prior to 01/02/06? Or, do I place my order and end up with whatever deal and financing will be available when the car arrives sometime in late Jan/early Feb? HMMM

Whatever incentives are available when you sign the purchase agreement in the F&I office upon delivery.

This is correct. As explaned to me by several dealers, there is no "price protection" on orders. Whatever incentive is in effect at the time of the physical purchase, is what you will receive. So, if you have a Mustang on order and it is due in before 1/02, you will receive the $1000.00 rebate. And, my guess is this rebate will be extended long after January 2nd as well. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up, not down.

The rebate you get is whatever rebate is in effect when you take delivery of the car.

Thanks Frank. I took delivery of my GT Tuesday the 5th and the dealership had the $500 incentive listed. I got home, read your thread and called them the next day. I now have a $500 check!

I'm glad it worked out for you Embalmer, I wasn't so lucky. I took delivery on the 4th, found out about the new incentive the night of the 5th, and called my dealer the next Morning. He of course, neglected to call me back that day with an answer. I called him the next morning, and was promptly told that my sale went through on the 4th (roughly 4:30.m.) so I didn't qualify. It's frustrating to know that if I would have waited until the next morning to pick up my car, I would have gotten $500 more taken off the price.

My salesman called me on Friday and told me to come in and sign the papers. I had already had the car in my possession for more than a week. I told him I was too busy on Monday (at work) so he made an appointment for me Tuesday afternoon with the F&I guy. He already had the paperwork drawn up and didn't check the incentives that day. Fortunately I did...

Thats not true::: The incentives are based on dealer delivery of the car to the purchaser. When you sign for delivery of the car, you obtainthe incentive available. I just picked up my GT/CS on Tuesday, I was given the $1000 cash back. When I ordered it, they had only $500.

That is exactly what I said. Re-read.
