Found this on Edmunds.com today, but don't see anything about it on Ford's site:
"Coffee is For Closers": Ford One-Ups GM in Incentive Wars By Recruiting Retirees as Salespeople
Date Posted 06-20-2005
DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford Motor Co. wants to turn its employees and retirees into bounty hunters, giving them up to $1,000 in cash if they help to sell new cars and trucks.
The unusual program, which runs through September 30, is seen as a response to General Motors' latest incentive gambit, which lets all customers use the employee discount rate through July 5.
A J.D. Power and Associates survey released last week indicated a big jump in GM's sales and market share under its new incentive program. Ford's program also extends employee discounts to all customers.
Ford employees or retirees will get $50 for the first customer they draw. They'll get $75 for the second, $100 for the third, $150 each for the fourth through seventh and $175 for the eighth, the company said.
"If every employee and retiree helps sell just one more vehicle, it would account for over 300,000 sales and an additional two points of market share," Ford vice president Steve Lyons told employees in an e-mail message, according to the Associated Press.
Ford's market share is down one percentage point to 19.1 as of June 17.
What this means to you: If you're a Ford worker or retiree, you could make a little extra cash by steering a friend to your local dealer.

Yup... my dad is getting $50.. which he is splitting with our salesman, because he's great.
Part that stinks about it... is that there are a lot of shady dealerships out there.. I went through this with my friend Sarah. Wish you could just buy them at the factory and save all this heartache :bang:
