driver side leak under steering wheel

After heavy rain the car would seem to have a pool of water under neath the steering wheel above the hood latch.. then when I drive it the pool of water will splash and leak on my leg.

Anyone have this problem?

Well, that has to suck! I have never seen or heard of water pooling there, but it is common for it to flow into the car on the passenger side.

Heres a place to start. Open your hood and remove the black cover at the base of the passenger side windshield, this is where your cabin air filter is at. Down below the filter is a drain hole, if it's stopped up clear it out. Hope that helps, or somebody whos had the problem can help you out.

Here's a link to the tsb on another forum , it's post #68 on page #5. Maybe it's your cowl grommets leaking ...

its hard to see, but IIRC theres a cowl drain on the drivers side too...should come out under the car just across the tunnel from the passenger side one?
