Yep. It was a long process. We used a body double who was eerily similar to McQueen to begin with - I did a double take the first time I saw him in wardrobe.

We filmed him doing all the actions and looks we wanted with the actor who played the farmer. Then we took certain shots from Bullit that had the expressions and angles of McQueen's face that we wanted. When the double is on camera, the McQueen footage is laid over his face on a video screen. Then you have the double move until he exactly lines up with McQueen and have him mimic the action McQueen makes. A few weeks in the studio to clean up the edges and get everything perfect and you have two American icons together again.

We'll be posting a "Making Of" video on Fordvehicles.com in the next week or so that shows some of what we went through, including building the track.
