Does yours track true on the highway?
Hi,
When I'm going down the highway, I find that I have to almost constantly dial in little corrections to keep the car from wandering. My '03 GT was not as sensitive, and would track true with little input from me. It's as if the '05 could use more toe-out?
I have only ever driven the one '05 Mustang, so I don't know if they are all the same? How about yours?
Thanks,
Paul

Mine tracks true, and another thing is that there is not even an inkling of vibration from the wheels not being true or out of balance, etc..
I am thinking of maybe just staying with the factory wheels because of this.
Not positive, because I really do like the American racing Torque Thrusts

You might also want to check your tire pressure. I've noticed that if you have one corner off a little you'll have to readjust at highway speeds quite often. Other than that, mine only dances when the road isn't flat (there's a lot of not-flat roads up here)
I usually don't have to even hold the wheel. It's really a nice highway cruiser. Definately check the air pressure. If that's ok, take it in.
Hit any big potholes lately? that will screw with the front end like none other.

after eibach sportlines, sways, adj panhard, LCA's my steering is too tight to track straight down the lane for too long...if i touch the wheel it moves a lil and goes in a perfectly straight line THAT direction, so ya mine tracks true on the highway, but requires constant correction to stay in the lane lol
no comparison to my 97 tho, this is much much much better highway driver

only a few hundred miles on mine so far. (hey, it's an island, where am i gonna go?) And I'm having no problems. Exactly the opposite, my wife always complains that I'm contstantly correcting, but I'm not anymore...
Mine wandered a little until I had the front end popping TSB done. Now it's alot better. It still does it ever so slightly on certain roads but, I think that is uneven road related.

I have noticed the same thing but it seems to happen most somewhere between 80-100 MPH. I was thinking that it was just SUPER sensitive but it's noticable enough to think you're not 100% in control. Funny thing is that below 80 or over 100 it seems fine.
Thanks for the feedback. Tire preasure is good and I haven't hit any big potholes yet, but one of the wheels and tires was changed due to minor shipping damage before I got the car. I'll have them check the alignment when I bring it in for its first oil change.
