Does a tune remove the limiter?

Hey guys, just wondering if I would get a 93 tune for my GT, would it remove the limiter? Not like I'm ever going to hit 155+, but just curious.

I am not sure if it is removable, but a tuner can definitely change it. When mine was getting dynoed, the tuner kicked it up another 10 mph to allow the RPMs to peak.

You can set the limiter anywhere you like. Mine is set for 250mph. Like I will ever hit that

Haha, how exactly do you set the limiter? Do you need a tune to do that?

mrp5150,

You have already been given the correct information. When writing your tunes we can set the limiter at whatever MPH you would like. We set them very high somewhere in the 200MPH range because you will never be going that fast LOL.

Let me know if you like to know more about what my Bama Tuning Specialist have to offer! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
