Do you think a gold superstripe, hood only, black GT, would look stupid?
I have been wanting to dress up the hood on my black 06 GT. Not sure what I want to do. I like the black/gold combo I have seen on a few GT's, but don't have the cash or the ability to do a complete stripe-over, bumper to bumper.
Do you guys/gals think a hood-only super stripe from BMS would look stupid?
Superstripe for Hood only 05-08 Mustang : BaltimoreStreetMods, 3M Automotive Graphics
Maybe another color? Anyone have a pic of this stripe on a black Stang?
Thanks

IMHO there's nothing wrong with a hood only stripe, in fact I kinda like the look. I don't however like black/gold combos, kinda reminds me of the old trans-ams too much or something. I think silver on black is waaaay better, but hey, that's just me. If you like it go for it! If you put it on and like it, save up your money and have it painted on when you can afford it, that's what I'm going to do. Good luck.

Crucut,
Funny,......old x-Trans Am guy here. (78)
I also like this one alot. No end of hood tuck needed, and does not interfere with the washer nozzles. I shot them an e-mail to see a pic of their silver. It's a bit more $$, but will probably be much easier to install.

Idk, I would personally go for the total stripes, but since you cant do that right now, the hood stripe would probably look just fine. I've always wondered myself about what to do with the washer nozzles with the dual stripes.

Well, I'm biased toward the SS Superstripe, for obvious reasons...I too was going to do just the hood. Left it that way for about a week or so, and then did the rest. (sans bumpers....)
I like the black gold combo, and think it would look great. Why not start out with just the hood, go with it for awhile, and you can always come back a bit later and finish it out if you like. Rob over at BSM will undoubtedly sell the pieces separate. I know he did when it came time to stripe my spoiler......
Good luck with it,
Mike

Hey Jon! Ya that's is funny. You must be around my vintage if you had a 78 TA!
I like those stripes in your link. Never seen those before. If $ is an issue, and you want to add some stripe, I'd go for one of those in whatever color you like, I just think silver flows better. I was considering white stripes on mine, but went with the silver as it matched the interior etc. better. I have issues with my stripes though and when I get around to it I'm gonna start a new thread with pics, (spots mainly). Any way, do post pics of your car when you get it done!

I'm not really crazy about the superstripe unless its full length, from bumper to bumper, otherwise it looks sorta incomplete.
Black and gold is a gold is a sweet color combo, you can't go wrong with that.

HH,
Wow.... Thanks!!
Hmmm, it looks pretty good, but now that I see the super-stripe, it seems to call out for rocker stripes as well. Looks kinda lop-sided w/o them, ya think?
