These are gt500 tires, do they look like tires that have been used for 1000 miles or quite more? They look worn for a lot more miles

Anyone else care to comment? The seller says they are 1000 miles used, but they look to be used quite a lot more.

Hard to really tell. Looks like there is a lot of tread left. Since they were on a GT500 good chance the tires were subjected to a burnout or two. Ask him to get a pick of the tire with a ruler showing the tread depth and then compare it to what the depth is when new according to the manufacturer.

Chances are if they were subjected to a burnout or two there would be some feathering
of the tread on the trailing edges and be worn more in the center of the tread than on the
outside due to warpage during the burnout, Maybe more than 1000 miles but I don't see any
evidence to support a burnout.

Those look to be in very good shape. I'd say 1000 miles used is entirely possible. Certainly not considerably more...

I'm guessing the top pic is the front tire and the bottom pic is the rear.

It's possible.

There isn't much to the F1's. Mine had less then 150 miles on them when I took this pic. (the OEM had 5500 miles)

Not sure if comparing them to your tires is fair. The GT 500 tire is probably a softer compound and is going to wear faster. It is hard to say but they look like they are not much more than 1000 miles.

V8 Steed - wasn't comparing them to my OEM's.. just the only pic I had of the tread on the GT500 rims/tires I put on my car.

Depends on the size. The supercars come new with anywhere from 7-11/32's of rubber.

Its really hard to tell in the pics how much is worn off. My professional guess is a little more than 1000 miles, or 1000 miles of hardcore driving.

Not a close pic, but heres mine with 0 miles.

Tell the seller to stick a nickel in the tread and base it off of that.
