Here is the problem with that though...

The 18s got delayed, that isnt changing and if they could have got it straightened out before launch, they would have. they are not going to put the whole car on hold because of one option.

Aren't there plenty of aftermarket 18's to choose from? I know that is just another expense but if you want the car and the lack of an 18 option keeps you from getting the car why not remedy that situation with aftermarket stuff?
I want the ford 18" wheels.I just like to keep my car stock looking(factory equipped).

LOL

All jokes aside, I know that if I had fallen in love with the Titanium color and everything else specific to that car.... well I'd be pretty disappointed and frustrated too. Ah, what a tease Ford can be!
I have to agree, I also like that Tungsten Silver on the concept car just as much as the Titanium Silver!!!

I loved the titanium as well. I just decided to go with the mineral grey and have striping done in Dupont metallic black. Should look great when finished. Then I will just have to find some suitable 18's?

You could just order the 18's when the dealers get them and make the switch. I bet someone would buy your stock wheels and tires from you on Ebay. I remember seeing lots of V-6 cars with the GT wheels on them in the 80's and 90's.

There are still many mysteries with the 18's... they still may appear this year, we have gotten different stories from different people.

If ya really want the titanium, get a white 'Stang and bring it to your friendly neighborhood customizers...they can fix it for ya

Yea, it irks me too that we were shown some stuff that we can't get...but at least I can still get my grubby hands on this car soon... B)

The Ford Rep I talked to at Legends Field said that "the 18's were being delayed by their Manufacturer", which is a suplier to Ford not owned by Ford.

I wonder if the titanium silver w/stripes and the motor trend blue with stripes are actually what the shelby will be like??Maybe with a 4 valve DOHC motor???Just an idea.

mach1fever, are you blazinsteed from the registry???Yeah, as soon as I get my titanium silver GT you can put me back on the e-mail list.Hopefully that will be soon.Unless I can get a shelby in '06 for under $35,000.

that many people would not want, and would hurt sales because a percentage of the mustangs on dealer lots will have stripes, which some may not want.

I'll tell you this much for nothing, If I was over there (not long now.....) and I saw an '05 with stripes on a lot, the dealer would have to hide his hands before I bit them off! I probably couldn't resist a Siver car with darker stripes!

true many people would buy the mustang with stripes, but then there will be the people who buy a mustang because it is value performance, and dont want to tack on a $2-3000 option.[/b][/quote]
i would,,,,,,,,

remember,,,,,,"If you build it, they will come"

You should know that any critique of the mustang will get you a response similar to this (by some members):

"If you dont like it, build your own car"

Then again, their are alot of ford salesmen on this board... So I am not suprised.

What I mean is that they should have forseen possible delays etc. and made sure it was available at launch. From what we've heard, the 18's were a last minute thing and Ford didn't know if people would like them. They should have planned a nice set of 18's from the get go.

I can't believe what you pay for Saleen rims. Man, the aftermarket will be expensive. I really liked the silver alloy 18's on the Boss V10 Mustang. $2100 US for the rims & tires I believe.
