The parking lot of my office has controlled parking because we only have about 150 spots for 400+ people and other businesses in the same area don't want us taking up their spots. Anyway, the spots that our company have aren't supposed to be checked by the company that checks parking however when I went out to my car last night, what did I find? A stupid ticket!

My car was the ONLY one with a ticket on it in the entire section eventhough they aren't supposed to check the spot I was in and I wasn't doing anything wrong.


Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

 

nope I park in the one and only single spot right in front of the door so no one can park next to it and I can see it all night.

 

if they aren't suppose to check those cars then why did you get a ticket? Did you bring the issue up with anyone in your company or the company in charge of ticketing cars? I'd be pretty darn upset if that happened to me.

Yes, I brought it up with the security guards at my office and they are going to call the company that owns the property to get the parking people off my back. It really ticked me off though that they would single out my car.

 

What in the heck was the parking ticket for!? If you were parked legally, what did they give you a ticket for? For PWB (Parking While Black)? Or maybe a HACCTYWC ticket (Having a Cooler Car Than Your White Coworkers)????

Well, on the ticket it says that I didn't have a parking permit, which I obviously wouldn't because we don't need them for our spaces because they're not supposed to be checked. None of the cars around me had permits either and I was still the only one to get the ticket.

 

Maybe A new guy on the job.

 

I don't think I'll have a problem with parking tickets at work. Police can't hand out tickets in my garage.

 

I wouldn't be upset about the ticket per se, but highly upset about the possibility that Mr/Ms Rent-A-Cop's belt, keys, pager, cell phone might scratch my car when they're putting the ticket under the wiper blade. These cars aren't rare, exotic or even super expensive, but we do have pride in them and take care of them. Rig up an electric current through the car so the next time they touch it they'll get the shock of their lives
