Rags, glad to hear you decided to join the Black/Red contingent. Any updates on delivery for you?

I spent alot of time debating black and blue. The black is impossible to keep clean, and the blue looks purple. I hate dirty cars, and can't imagine driving a purple one. But when I walk all around a SB Mustang, I don't see the purple. My wife and daughter say, "Look there, it's purple on the fender. It's purple on the trunk lid." I just can't see the purple, but I do see the dust on black. I ordered Sonic Blue.

I don't think a Ranger does the Sonic Blue justice. The '05 GT is another story. Very nice, IMO.
Mine's Satin Silver on Red, but SB was my second choice. Black is always a good choice, but my '04 F-150 is black and I needed something of a different color in my driveway.

I almost got SB, specifically because it looks purple in some light. The problem is, its not purple enough. So, I went with my second choice, for a couple reasons:
First and foremost, because when I get it custom painted, they told me it would be easiest to start with a black car.
Secondly, because until I can afford the paint job, black on black was the only color I could be happy driving. Yeh, its a pain to keep clean. But, you cant beat the look of a newly washed and waxed black beauty.
Oh, and I am getting mine painted purple. I have wanted a purple Mustang since I was about 9 years old. This is the perfect year to do it.

Cool car, Scott. Exactly the same as mine, except for the tint. One thing, though, with a driveway like that, don't you get a lot of gravel stuck in the tread of the tires? I get some and we don't even have a gravel drive.

Don't stress.
Once it's there, and they put the keys in your hand, you'll have your answer. I suspect you'll like. It's a Mustang, and it will be all yours.
It's all personal preference, but I can't think of too many combinations that wouldn't work for somebody!
I'm not even sure how many I considered, and I ended up nowhere near where I started.
Enjoy!

Windveil blue with a black interior would have been good. Sonic blue is to purple. Wonder why Ford did not call it Mystifying Purple or something like that.

Sonic over Windveil anyday!!

I owned an Audi S4 that was black and I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER BLACK CAR! Constantly dirty, swirl marks all over the paint that are seen from all angles. Paint protection when installed on a black car is very noticable. Black cars are GREAT in the showroom but a nightmare in the real world. Its a shame because they look great when new but every chip and swirl mark is noticable with black paint. Just my experience guys hope you have better luck with black car than I did!!
