and the dealer still doesnt have any info on the car. he said call back in 2 weeks for more info on production. is this normal wait? i got the x plan and the sales guy took some heat for doing this. will i get pushed back on the list?

 

I have the same question, I ordered mine on 11/5 - The sales guy told me I should have it before Christmas - give it 6 weeks. I called him yesterday & he couldn't even give me a vin #. He said he expects to have the info by the end of the week???? :bang:

 

I said $cr@w it!!! Picked up my '05 GT today --- Searched on the www.fordvehicles.com site -- found my exact same vehicle (only in black - which I'm actually happier w/ B) ) put $2k down over the phone yesterday & just drove her home today -- 60 mile drive to the dealer -- loved the ride back home I'll post some pics tomorrow.

 

It took me 4 weeks to get any info on mine, but they gave me an ETA of 3rd week of Dec.

Thanks... Keep looking. It really took me a while to find one that had all my same options & that was available. The dealer that I ended up going to said he was allocated 47 more GT's before the year was over. Hard to believe cause he was all the way out in the stix. But he had 3 that were unclaimed when I went to pick mine up. Hang in there.

 

FYI - I placed my order (Mineral Gray GT) on 9-23-05 and I received absolutely no communication until I finally called about 2.5 weeks ago and was told my build date was 11-22-05 !! So I'm figuring I'll get it the week of 11-29,just in time to put away for the Cleveland winter but needless to say I'm pretty jacked though !!

OBTW - I'm using my uncles A plan.

Don't feel bad, it's the same situation I am having. Ordered mine on the 6th of November and I've got in touch with the dealer twice and still nothing. My salesman said "he'll call me when he hears anything he can pass along". Supposedly should also take 6-7 weeks until delivery, but we'll see. Like I said, at least we all are hearing about the same thing.

 

I ordered mine in Sept. and it just was built this week, so be patient

I ordered mine on 11/19. The dealer told me to basically call around mid december and he will have more detailed info for me. I'm in no real rush to get it as i'm still saving soem $$ up. I would also rather be told to wait a longer period of time then less and be dissapointed.

 

I will L Lou. Nice pics by the way! The other day I seen a black GT w/ the red leather interior pull into a grocery store lot and it was the first one I had seen in person and MAN does it look even nicer up close ! I can not wait

UPDATE: I talked to the dealer this afternoon and he said my car has been buiilt and is waiting to be shipped from Michigan to Ohio,I sure hope this abnormally mild Ohio weather holds on until I pick mine up.

I think "normal" kinda goes out the window on GT orders given the IUP/Spoiler supply problems, etc. Ordered mine 2 1/2 weeks and was told 8 weeks. Don't believe it will happen but sure am hoping !!

 

Ordered mine on black friday 11-26-04, dealer told me 8 weeks minimum. Im guessing more like 10 weeks as my priority code is 20. Im just happy to have one on order, and I live in Pennsylvania so the winter is only beginning. But if and when I do get it, this will be my daily driver so it will be used everyday. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. I can wait as long as I know it's coming someday soon!

Hrm, with an order priority of 20 and the 2 week plant shutdown next month, methinks it'll be longer than that. No clue as to your dealerships allocation amount and when they can submit it, so kinda hard to say.
