I have a question. We ordered our GT on May 18th and the build date was the 27th of June, with delivery on the 14th of July. I found the VOPC number and called on Tuesday, ERL said that as of the 30th the car was shipped via courier, then yesterday it said as of the 5th it was at the ramp. Today I called and ERL said that there was no information on the order.

Not to sound dumb, but does this mean that the car is at the dealer? We went and signed the papers on Wednesday and the dealer said it could arrive earlier than the 14th.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch. :banana2:

If it had arrived at the ramp on 7/5, that is a marshalling point for your area where all vehicles go to be distributed to the transports to your dealer's location. If it dropped of ERL, your salesperson could have his manager call but Ford will not do anything until the unit is 10 days overdue and it has not even reached your orginal ETA yet. Really not much they can do until after the 14th.

Can I get your personal opinion- do you think that something has happened with the order, or just a delay in delivery? I can wait, since I think we got lucky with how quick the turn around time has been. I just don't want the order to be cancelled this late in the game

What makes you think the order will be cancelled???
The car was built/shipped via convoy/arrived at the ramp.
When a car arrives at the ramp it means it's at a holding lot waiting for enough cars coming to your area before it's loaded on a truck for it's ride to the dealer (they don't call a transport truck for a single vehicle).

BTW: I got the word that my car had arrived at the ramp, and within two or three days it had arrived at the dealer. If I remember right you got word that the car arrived at the ramp on July 5th (three days ago), and you have an ETA of the 14th...wait until the after the estimated delivery date has passed, and if you're car doesn't come in by then check with the dealer.
