When was ya'lls build week? Because I have been told that mine is 1/3 with a ETA of 1/10. Which they basically said that that meant that it is scheduled to leave the factory by then.

So, can someone please explain to me exactly what ETA means? Because it looks like estimated time of arrival. But I don't thnik they can build, ship & deliver a car in 1 week.

They can, it happened to JessicaRabbit and she's in L.A. I do believe it happened to upstate as well.

But.......

The ETA is just that...an estimate, in my case it's an estimate that's nearly a month off.

Apparently they also don't take into account where your car is in the holding lot either. Jessica's was built the same week as me, but I believe hers was built on Nov 24th. I was one of the first cars built for the week of 22 Nov, thus one of the first in the holding lot...unfortunately that means last out of the holding lot. Looks like I got passed over for a load more than once OR got held back for a quality issue OR both.

All I know is it's the first in last out scenario that Ford is claiming as to why mine is so late.

So don't read too much into those ETA's, they may or may not make that date.

Thanks SixtySix ~ I actually don't expect the car until late Jan or early Feb. My GM said mid Feb. So if it does come in early I will be estatic. I hope your car get here soon. Like Monday. I know how frustrating it can be waiting for one to be delivered. I waited 3 months for my 02 & for 3 weeks they told me it was on the truck being delivered. Anway. Thanks again.

Happy New Year Everyone

I feel for ya man. That is one long wait...must be totally frustrating! What's cool is that despite your frustration, you're not going off on huge rants about it. I hope it shows up for ya today!

Well it won't be today, dealership is closed on Sundays...go figure!

BUT......

I am fortunate that the railhead is only 10 miles away. I forsee me taking a run up there before I get settled in for football and see if my car is there.

And thanks for kind words regarding my patience, I'm glad it's noticable

I figure if there's nothing I can do to get it here quicker, no use having a hissy fit over it, just makes it worse.

Believe me I WAS more concerned a week after the date slipped with no explanation and all I got from the customer care line was the runaround back to the dealership.

The Dealership did what they could to find out what was going on, the regional rep that handles orders is the one who stepped up and found out that there was nothing wrong with the car, it got caught up in the FILO method and actually left the holding yard last week.

As long as I know where it is and what happened, I'm cool with it...In the meantime I don't have a car payment

Just to update my last statement, I just got back from buzzing the railhead....

There seems to be a Redfire GT with Bullits and parchment interior that needs a home!

I left my salesman a message to do a VIN check with the facility to make sure it is in fact "The One", if it is, we're fortunate enough to be able to go get it without waiting for a load....

Here's to hoping that I'll be driving it tommorow.... I won't sleep tonight for sure!

I just signed up for the forums and saw that you can call that number and check the build status of your mustang. I also just saw this BS about the possibility of no IUP w/ mycolor. I ordered a Satin Silver GT w/ everything (including auto. tranny) I ordered on Oct 29 and I got a VIN quite a few weeks ago. So this is like my 8 week waiting since ordering. But I haven't heard anything since. So to get to the point I wanna check the status of my car NOW and not wait for the dealers to open again from the holidays. Anybody know the delaer number of Suntrup Ford Westport in MO? If i had that i guess i could check my status. Dont make me wait for tomorrow

Tony, I too hope that car that you saw today is yours man. You have paid your dues to be behind the wheel of that car. Good luck, and you get some sleep so you know what you are signing at the dealership tomorrow. Don't want to get extras that you do not want. Keep us posted

darn, i hope mine isn't as delayed as yours. How can an ETA be so messed up? Over 10 days is a pretty off figure.

Wow....that is a heck of a turnaround time. I order a day before you (11/18) and my build date 1/10/05. I'll be happy to get my car before March.

My order got bumped up due to a cancellation of the same exact car by an earlier order. I wasn't expecting it until mid feb at least.
