Just picked up my 05 Mustang GT yesterday. What a fantastic car. Had a nice 130 mile drive home. Took the car up to 90 Mph and it handled like a dream. Just under 200 miles on it now.

The only bad part of all of this is that I didn't get any work done today. I had to keep going outside and showing everyone the car.

Only one decent picture so far in my gallery. Too many bug guts from the drive home and swirl marks from the crappy PDI the dealer did. :bang: Zaino this weekend however, so good pictures will be posted soon!

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?ac...album&album=156

I almost forgot to add, for some reason this car seems alot more powerful than the stick and the auto GT's that I test drove previously. Maybe it's because it's MY hard earned money that is paying for it, but it sure feels like a beast!

Congratulations!!!!
We all know how excited you must be....
Just have to ask though...is there anything you DON'T like about the car?
C'mon now, be honest.
Otherwise, have a blast!!!!!

Yes, driving a stick in stop and go traffic on the freeway.

Actually, as of yet no. But I've had the car for just over 24 hours, so give me some time. I will predict however that I will be posting a major complaint this weekend during my Zaino process. Specifically, I will be very ticked off that the front end catches bug guts so easily and that it is so hard to clean.

It's waaaaay to early for me to start complaining about stuff, I'm too overwhelmed to even think about it. The Shaker works great, which was a big concern. Man, that thing is alot louder than the stereo was in my Expedition! Lol.

Right on Sean, see ya on the freeway, maybe. I'm a westside guy

If you see a Redfire with the plate "PIXEL8" you know it's me

I thought you bought yours from Earnhardts in Chandler? I must be mistaken, you went up to Payson didn't you!

Bought it in Prescott at Galpin Ford. The other dealer you mentioned is a bit unscrupulous in my opinion. I don't deal with them anymore.

Driving in stop n go traffic on the freeway with a stick is definately an honest concern, but certainly worth it, wouldn't you say? My roundtrip freeway commute is 120 miles...mostly "off hours" from the rush hour gridlock...still "must have" that 5speed manual!!

Have fun!!

Congrats, man! Great car!

I've had mine a week now, and I agree, hard to find things I don't like about it. Unless I count the gas tank that is.

I just wish I had more time to drive it. In a week, I've only got 200 miles on it. The commute to work is only 5 miles - 35 mph speed limit tops...and I've been busy with a grad class. But after tomorrow, the class is over and then finally, Big Bird will get a chance to get broken in right.

Congratulations!

Well, still no sign of my car, built on the 4th, shipped by rail the same day as your car. No chance you saw a stray Redfire GT when you picked yours up?

Dealer says Ford can't even provide an ETA. Seems to be lost on the rails....

Congrats!

I'm sure many of us on this forum can relate to the feeling - It's a great car. And better when it's yours to drive at will.

Mine also feels more powerful than I remember from the test rides I took. But, gas mileage is lower than expected. Not sure if there's any relationship there. Please post up your MPG and comments on the MPG Vote Thread

BTW - I'll take the lower mileage for power and consider it a free mod.
