FYI:

In my local paper (San Antonio Express News) two local dealers have already provided discounts on some of their V-6s.

Two examples: V6 auto: MSRP 20, 405 - 2510 discount = $17,895. 2 at this price
V6 auto: MSRP 20,550 -2067 discount = $18,488. 2 at this price

Doesn't surprise me. I did a search a week ago of the dealership inventories in San Antonio and Austin, and there are scores of V-6 mustangs on the lots. Only saw 2 V-8s and they were both autos.

We have an abundance of V6s here in Southeast Texas as well. I haven't seen any advertised discounts though.

Hehe, yeah they have tons of V6s down here.

My guess is that if you wanted one and you show up at the dealer they would say, OH they were just sold, wanna order this or buy that instead. LOL

There are still a good 2 dozen on the lot at Beach Ford in Virginia Beach, VA. I don't know if they are giving discounts but most of the ones on the lot today were on the lot two weeks ago.

It's all up to the dealer. Up here (PNW) there is a dealer that discounts the GT's a thousand bucks.

There are a lot of V6 Mustang around that's for sure. I was just at 5 Star Ford yesterday in the Dallas/Fort Worth area testing a V6 manual and they had about 10 V6's. Only one GT as far as I could see.....

I think everybody is going for the GT, but I think the V6 manual is a great car. Here's a review I did on it from yesterday. B)

Beach Ford the last time I checked had like 30 Mustangs on their website four of them GTs. Of course they are not all on the lot, some are in route. I think they are selling well, just seem to be replacing them as new ones come in. They seem to have ordered a lot of similar colors. GTs are there like a day. The Legend Lime GT lasted less than a day. When I picked mine up, it was the only GT they had.

I saw a silver GT in my neighborhood yesterday, very nice but very dirty due to the weather. I haven't seen a GT on their lot, presold ones waiting for pickup only.

Yeah, they had four on their website, one being the Legend Lime that came and went. No many GTs at all around here. Kimnach Ford had one listed on Fords website, but that was a week or so ago. How did ya like all this snow we got? My car just sits there waiting for good weather.

I had to get out and about, my car is trashed. It needs a complete detail. The V-6's on the lot "still" had snow on them. I figured they would spray them down by now.

The same goes for here in Ohio. Park Ford in tallmadge still has 2 6 cyl. in the lot, the first one has been there a month. Dealer says that people all come in, look at it but want to "SEE" a GT and then just leave. They have a legend lime loaded (auto) that's been there a couple of weeks as well. It's a beautiful car with the side stripe and spoiler. I just don't understand it. Maybe it's just too close to the GT in price that people are saying "I will just wait on a GT". So much for the 75/25 theory. I don't think I would build a v6 again (if I were ford) until I got some of these unloaded from the car lots. Oh well, Got mine (gt)...

As I said on the other thread, it won't be long before we see rebates or other incentives like low APRs on the V6s.
