Dealer installed chrome Bullitts w/ spinners
When I went to check out the Shaker 1000 in person (BTW, unless you fully plan on going aftermarket, I'd recommend the 1000, even in spite of the $1500 price tag), he showed me a brochure which had chromed Bullitts (w/ spinners) in it.
He said they were a $2500 dealer-installed option.
I questioned him as to whether or not I could get that done aftermarket for less money, and he said no. Of course, my first instinct is that he just wants to keep the business in house, but for those that have had wheels chromed...
Is $2500 reasonable, low, or high? They were great looking wheels, IMO much better than the optional ones on the 05.

Well a set of chromed 18" bullit replicas (9" front and 10" rear) for the old Mustang usually goes for around $950 without tires. Quality of these things is as good as OEM (I have the Saleen replica's myself)

Here's a set of 17" ers without chrome. They are $ 310. Chrome I would estimate them around 650.

Note that all these offerings do not fit the 05 (offset is too low) very well. But the replica market will jump on the 05 soon enough. My advice would be to hold out for a while, get the stock 17" bullits (sweet), get a nice set of chrome 18"ers somewhere next year when the 05 replicas come out and tell this dealer to shove it

Another thing to keep in mind is that (as far as I know) the wheel setup is different from the previous Mustang, so wheels that would apply to N95's won't necessarily work as well as desired on SN197's. However don't quote me on that.
P.S. Sorry I screwed up on the last post.

I was at a dealership last weekend, and they had a few v6's on the lot that had the upgraded wheel w/ the spinners. While my wife and I were walking up to them joking I said, watch them be plastic, sure enough. Hopefully the GT's will not use the same ones.

Found out something about the spinners....which is not good. They are just popped into the center of the rim, no different than that of a standard rim. Someone could walk up and easily pull one off and walk away since they are just a "press fit". You could easily remove all 4 in a matter of seconds. I can just image how many will be stolen considering how popular it is to rank the pony from the front grill.

$2,500 is a bit pricey. The "knockoffs" I think will look good with the bullitts and I believe they retail for about $100 a set. I know they can be stolen, but I am not going to lose sleep over it. I'll still keep the center caps just in case!
