He did not force you. It's your money, tell him that you want to wait if you want to wait. If not you forced yourself to get it by not waiting this thing out.

Hate to say it but I think you've been B.S.'ed. We have abot 15 on order with the IUP and they have just been changed to a hold status. We haven't changed, and aren't going to at this point, any of these orders. If a customer requests a change we'll make it, if not we'll wait.

Of course the ones without move right to the front of the line. We had an order with no IUP pull and get scheduled for jan 10, this order was submitted 12/08.

Only make the change if thats what you want. The only reason your dealer wants it changed is so they get their cash quicker.

the aftermarket doesnt look bad at all from waht ive seen. but i gotta keep in mind as well this is my daily car so the IUP opackage isnt gonna make my car run faster or better or slower or worse. its stil lgetting me from a to b whether its got the oil pressure and battery gagues or not. the only thing i wanted from the package is the satin aluminum n i can do that aftermarket i guess. with my tbird on its last leg of her life the quicker the better

I remember you being x-plan. Are they giving you $600 under x-plan? If so, wow.

Ron.....still, the best advice I can give, is to not settle for less than what you orginally wanted. The Black GT you found that was 2k over MSRP.......is there no way you could hammer out a deal on this car, or maybe search other dealerships within a 3-4 hour radius of your location? Of course if it's a dealership that's that far away, you would need to know their price before you donated that much travel time. I paid full MSRP for my car, and I have no problem with that on any car.......but I would never/ever pay anything over that amount.

Ya I hate to say it as well but a dealer can't force you to do anything. You could have waited and got the car you wanted. Well good luck anyway with your choice.

I got x-plan and a $500 discount back in November before the price increase with everything, taxes/title/tags - $50 over invoice. I'm debating about making a fuss and see if I can get some more off if I switch to IUP Lite. Don't let the dealer tell you what to do, your ordering and if your willing to wait TELL them what you want or take your business somewhere else.

Don't change it unless you really want it changed. My dealer told me today that my order will not change unless I tell him to change it. He thinks it will all be back to normal for Feb. production.

How is this possible, my dealer invoice was 25047.46, my x plan price was 25081.35, that is only 35 dollars over dealer invoice, how could they give you an additional 500 off...or am i misunderstanding you somewhere?

Don't forget about dealer hold back. With Ford, I believe it's 3% of MSRP so the hold back on a $27K car is $810. I believe dealers will also get incentives from Ford based on volume, etc. The invoice price isn't what the dealer actually paid for the car.

OK, but still, a dealer taking below invoice on an 05 mustang, is unheard of, around here anyway!!! And beside, he is saying that he got xplan plus the 500 off and so now he is paying 50 above the dealer invoice...isn't this impossible. To start off with, the xplan is about 50 dollars above invoice.

I think the message center would be hard to let go, and the blue instrument cluster to match the exterior is nice too. I would wait, the aluminum dash is what other people will notice, but as the driver, the usefulness of the message center and extra guages makes it worth the wait.
