My dealer called tonight to tell me that he just got a 5 speed Torch Red with ICAP, IUP and Bullits and It's mine if I want it!
It had been ordered for a customer who chose a vert he had in stock instead. I ordered black with polished wheels, and it's due in about three weeks...
I am presently using my '92 vert for work and it's not great. Today I had an engineer in from Europe, and I couldn't fit his suitcase in the trunk! We had to check it at the hotel and go back later for it! To make things worse, we also had torrential rain and the roof was dripping on the poor guy's leg all day!
It would certainly make things easier to take the red one, but bllllllaaaaacccckkkk ICAP with polished :worship:

I would refer the Torch over the Black. If you like Black that well to have ordered it, then I would wait it out. If you are torn between the two colors, go for the red.

I would have to agree - if you have been serialized then your car will be built shortly - I'd wait for the order.

 

What is 3 more weeks when you've already waited this long? Right now things might be hard but it'll feel great to finally see that Black 05 won't it?

 

I was ready to settle myself on something that was "close" to what I ordered but I'm happy I waited for "my" car. 5 months for a v6 was crazy, but now it seems like I've had it forever! Wait, there is nothing like regretting your change and do you really want to eventually see someone else driving around in the car YOU ordered?

 

Hang in there just a bit more. I think you'll be glad you did.

I've decided to go and see the red one at the dealer tomorrow. At this point, I think I will wait for my black one, it should be only another few weeks.... Can't hurt to look at the red one though, right?

Go for black. Yeah, it's a PAIN to keep perfect, but I still love it! Nothing looks cleaner than a clean black car!!

 

I'll expect pics of the red one when you come back from "seeing" it.
