OK, maybe I'm on crack, but every once in a while when I'm driving, I'll notice my instrument lights flicker. Not the gauges in the MyColor, but the radio and HVAC lights.
The wierd thing is, my 92 Ranger used to do the same thing. Just a real quick blip. They'll have a slight flash, or pulse, at random. Once every 45 minutes or so, sometimes more frequent, but never in any type of pattern. I figured my old Ranger had some electrical problem, but I was shocked
to see this happen in my 05!!! It's slight and I only notice it at night w/ the lights on... anyone else have this problem or do I need to lay off the pipe?

And no, I haven't seen it.

I notice it all the time. I catch it out of the corner of my eye, then I'll focus on the shaker/climate controls, and it won't do it again for a good while. It's been like that ever since I got my car in November. Only other fords I've had have been 67 mustangs and a 72 maverick, nothing late model to compare to.

Happened to me last night. I was like, "what the?" But I reasoned to myself that I must have caught in my peripheral the text display on the radio changing as it scrolls from artist to song title etc. Never had a radio before with that capability so that's what I thought it was.

I have caught a flicker in the corner of my eye occasionally in my focus. I always just chocked it up to either the sun (I run with my lights on all the time) or reflection of headlights. I have only ever caught it in the corner of my eye, never when i was focusing (no pun intended) on the radio. You would think after 4 years I would have been looking at the radio once when it happened.
But it's good to know that others are experiencing this. If I am crazy at least I'm not alone.

Maybe the cooling fan is coming on, or the A/C compressor kicks on, and the electrical system has a slight power loss? At idle, I've seen many cars have this happen . . . even when I would hit the brakes, but that's at idle.
The alterator may be computer controled on these new cars, and it takes the computer a split second to react?
Just pulling ideas out of you know where.
