Dans 2007 GT Convertible

A couple weeks ago I bought a Mustang.
My wife always wanted a convertible and my son can't drive a stick yet.
So I settled on a 2007 GT Convertible.
Drove 3 hours north to pick her up....NICE!
44,000 miles and perfect!

Windows were already tinted when I got it and it's unmolested!

lets see what I can do to improve this!

I have a trip to the BMV tomorrow. I didn't want to do too much, but I did get some things tinted.
3rd brake light, side marker lights, blinkers, trunk badge.

Tomorrow after I get back....brake lights, head lights.

I'm thinking about buying splitters. Anyone ever put splitters on tinted headlights?

Another day.
I'm back from the BMV, everything has been tinted, my son told me they cracked down on this.
I guess we'll find out...
Before and after pics.
Cleaned it up also....I love this car!!!

The pics do it no justice, the tint is very dark!

I waited till after I went to the Licence Branch to tint the lights. I bought the car out of state and they have to inspect it before giving me my plates. I didn't want them saying anything about the tinted lights.

That was a wise choice ..Most States will ticket you except some over here because of the sun being so hot. California has a limit on how dark on the driver side and passenger side windows.. They say it is a hazard at night.

Ordered an axle back. Hope it's not too loud! Going to put it on as soon as possible. Had to get the black tips to go with my black theme.

The reviews say it'll wake the neighbors. As long as it doesn't wake the wife I should be good!

I have the Pypes Violators on my 2006-just right IMO
I have left my 2007 Vert stock because I didn't want more sound with the top down.
If you want the loud, I hope the deletes make you happy!

It may be too loud but, I'll have to check it out. I can always buy something quieter...
I have already checked into what you have just in case things don't work out....

Those may be just fine with the resonators to quiet things down a little. But, my guess is she is going to be heard when you start 'er up.

I went with the FR500S Ford Performance axle backs on my '06 GT Coupe. I've been very happy with the sound.

She's a bit loud on start up, but not too bad, I like it!
I thought it would be louder then it is on the outside but it seems to have the perfect puuurrrrrr!
The inside seems to be a bit loud when you give it gas. Maybe it's because of the convertible top, other wise it's quieter then I thought when your driving a constant speed.
I think the cats are quieting things down a bit, I left them in place just for that reason. I can see that it still has the factory "H" pipe in there.
I was going to take a few more pics but the time line got the better of me. All I have is an after pic. Getting up and down got the better of me.
The reviews are correct though! Passenger side hangs low.

This is what i can see that bothers me:
Drivers side needs moved up about 3/4" to take up a little more of the cutout.
Passenger side needs to be moved up about 1" or so and out about 1".

No big deal. Another day when my back feels a little better then it's a date!
At 44,000 miles things were pretty much rust free and easy to remove. Trying to line up the passenger side took the longest.

It will have to do for now. What do you think?
Oh, I noticed that my plate is a little crooked. That will be fixed tomorrow...

It looks good spree. I got luck when I installed my exhaust. Everything kinda fell in place, and didn't need any adjustments. I glad too. Like you after the job was finished it was time to give the old back a rest.

Enjoy the car. These little things run forever if they were taken care of, and it looks like yours was. I bought mine with 89K on it for a project. Like yours it was unmolested. After changing the fluids, gas filter, belt, plugs, and brakes the thing has just run right along. It's got right at 98K, and runs smooth as silk. I enjoy driving it as much as I do driving the brides '18 GT.

Looking good Spree!

Good luck with the muffler deletes. A lot of folks here (when the 05-09 gen was new) went with SLP Loudmouth muffler deletes - ran them for 6 months or so and then dumped them for excessive drone. From what was said at the time the drone at highway speeds would loosen the fillings in your teeth. I hope the Pypes you have will do better.

RE: your taillights. I strongly recommend NOT tinting the stock lights and rather go with the smoked Vector lights (2015+ style):
https://www.americanmuscle.com/raxio...diff-0509.html

Or go with the Gen 5 (2013-14 style)
https://www.americanmuscle.com/raxio...ghts-0509.html

Tinting your stock lights is dangerous IMO - you are reducing the amount of light that can be seen by the guy tailgating you and are increasing your chances of getting rear ended. They'll then tell the cops that your "illegally modified" taillights were the cause of the accident and maybe you'll be held responsible for the crash. If you use the smoked lights above, they are DOT approved and put out a lot of LED light - they are really bright! Bonus points for also not having crappy 3157 bulbs that constantly burn out (look at any of our gen 'Stangs running around and you'll quickly see half or more of their taillights are burned out).

All this is my $0.02 coming from one black convertible 'Stang owner to another. Sweet ride and good luck!
