DailyDriven no longer!

Okay, so I should have made this thread a month ago, but I'm lazy, I guess.

Anyway, I picked up a 95 Nissan 240sx. The paint is faded and it needs some typical tlc for a car of its age, but the title is clean, the interior is clean, dash is uncracked which is RARE, the chassis is really clean and it has a VLSD. I don't really care what the body looks like since its accident free and for the price I paid its like I found the holy grail of 240's. So for the past several weeks, Mustang(yes, that's its name) has been in the garage until the weekends come around. I bought the 240 so I could keep the miles off, especially since I have 64k at 4.5 years of ownership.

How many of you out there have a daily driver?

I switch off between my 11 GT and my 2002 Miata. I bought the Miata a couple years ago for the autocross/track day car, but I drive it year-round also. I have a set of rims+snow tires for it and it's quite good in the winter!

Debating if I can get the GT through this winter again with the stock all-seasons, or if I should go ahead and get a set of snows for it, too.

long as theres no salt out, its mustang time...for the sadly just around the corner few months, heres my winter DD... its a boat, but actually I kinda like driving it, and with 4 kids, we all fit...goes like a tank in the snow- highly recommend goodyear integrity all season tires for snow, it is pretty unstoppable. I 'tried out' a 2011 marquis rental and the stock tires were the worst I ever drove on, it got stuck in 1" of snow a couple times...this thing plows thru foot deep plow piles as if it had tracks... its a 2000 with 140k on it, picked it up for 2500, and I swear its like a new car, only with far better traction

"Winter Beater"? ...only if you're talking about what that thing does to the snow.

Picked up a 1988 Volvo 240 wagon last year to take over winter duty. She's not pretty but she's built like a tank, RWD, 5 spd, 4 cylinder that drinks gas like my V8, and will start on the first crank no matter how cold it is outside. For $800, you can't beat that.

That Tahoe has been a hell of a truck though. As reliable as I could ever ask for. Last year of the 2 door models also.

Before I got my Jeep I was looking for one of those. Hard to come by in good shape.

So for those of you with DD'ers, what do you do with your Mustang? Drive it weekends only, shows, races, etc? Have you developed any habits with it? For example, I only fill about a quarter tank every weekend since a full tank would last a month and I'd rather just not have fuel that old in the system.

I drive the Mustang from april till november here in the snow belt except for rainy weather. (07 with 25,000 miles) than stored it in my garage with storage insurance (about $20 a month). I drive my blue bomber in the rain and snow the rest of the time.
