I plan on shortening my antenna for a cleaner look. Radio reception is strong in my area and shouldn't be a problem. If anyone else is interested check this out.

I think I would just buy a shorter one. It would be cheaper than replacing the factory one if you screwed it up

Pep Boys has a 14" rubber one and a 17" metal one. Both are universal with different adapter screws for different brands.

I got a billet shorty on my foci, I used to have a billet black anodized one on my stang.
