Coupe Vs. Vert owners

Well, this poll definitely points out one fact......vert owners sleep in later than coupe owners!
No verts have voted yet.
Almost forgot...coupe here.

I had the option of getting the vert or the coupe when I was buying but after looking at the vert with the top up I thought the coupe looked better with its traditional fast back look and with cooler weather in the spring or fall there would be less drop top time ( only about 2 or 3 good months in summer) .Plus I probably would have turned the vert into a "Garage Queen" just sitting there till good summer weather happened .
I did get to sit in a new Mustang GT vert that was exactly the same as my car just a convertible at the dealer and he new about this and asked "did you make the right choice ?" The answer was yes Love the vert but I like the looks of the coupe better .

I would imagine we'd see a whole lot more coupes just because those were made first. Plus the fact that they're more popular among the general public.
I hear a lot of people say they got the coupe because it looks more "traditional" or "retro" which I find interesting because I feel it's the opposite. The vert top looks exactly like the verts of old. The shape of the roof, the side windows, the size of the back window, all nearly identical to the 60's & early 70's Mustang verts AND coupes. Now the 05 coupe, it has a look all its own. Not saying it's good or bad, but I am saying it is not "retro". That giganticus back window looks like nothing ever seen on a Mustang before! And the side windows being flush with the roof sheetmetal is also different and looks much more modern than what you'd find on the old fastbacks (only a handful of Shelbys even had the glass windows anyway). One of the reasons I got my vert was precisely because of the above, for me the vert sings the retro song much more in tune than the coupe
I like the looks of the coupe better, I've already got a Jeep vert, & I just think Ford is stealing money on the price of the vert! When you buy a Jeep, a hard top is a $1,000 option, when you buy a Mustang a vert is a $4,000 option! Why is that?
I've got a coupe on order.

Some say they wouldn't get a vert in Minnesota given the winter months. Personally, I say that's the very reason to get the 'vert in the first place. You enjoy the great spring, summer, and fall days even more when you know they're limited! When driving around with my wife and daughter on beautiful days, we say, "Today is a convertible kind of day!" We are also lobbying our local congressman to enact a new law that says if you own a convertible and, on "convertible kind of days," still drive around with your top up, I should be legally justified to confiscate your automobile on the grounds of abuse!

Or if you drive with the top down and the windows up... that looks SOOO ridiculous.
