Does anyone know why they changed the disclaimer on the commercial to read "closed course" instead of "closed cornfield"? I thought it was funnier with the cornfield reference. Just curious if anybody has an answer.

Someone in legal probably had a problem with it. Worried about getting sued because someone drove their car in a cornfield and it got damaged.

Yea, I noticed the "closed cornfield" and thought it was pretty funny.

I am yet to see the anthem commercial. I really want to see it. The listing in the stickys said it would be sometime during the race on Sunday but I saw the cornfield but never the anthem.

That has the distinct odor of lawyers attached to it.

If it is amusing, outright funny, or has some character, hand it to a lawyer. They will s**k it down to a dry, lifeless husk for you.

It's a wonder we're not all driving golf carts with six way active belts, wired helmets and 50 MPH bumpers.

That's funny, I just asked that question yesterday. Here's the response I got:

"Ask the president of Ford Division. He didn't like it. We had to change it."

Who is the current division prez? Would someone please hook his oxygen tubing back under his nose, so his head can clear and remember the Mustang is FUN!?

It must be hard on all the other staffers working on that floor at Ford World HQ with NO BREATHABLE AIR!

Actually I am told that the networks asked Ford to change it. They thought it was too flippant. Given the backlash from Corvette commercial with little kid day dreaming about joy riding in Corvette, I can see why they are all nervous about potential backlash.

My answer came from the company that made the ad.
