Dexcool is GM related. I use that in my TransAm and C4. When I changed the coolant in my GT I went to the Ford dealership and bought the correct coolant for my 2007 (so many colors and types for different Fords). No mistakes. If you need a better price, I'm sure many auto parts stores have the correct type, just make sure. Good luck!

Didn't know that. This is what I have sitting in my garage and what I used when I changed the coolant in my '07 GT. You mix this 'concentrate' one with distilled water.

Silly question... does it really need to be changed? I mean I always heard antifreeze does not go bad. Yes some people think it needs to be changed at a certain point but does it really?

You'll need "Motorcraft Orange" concentrated coolant. (which is NOT synonmous with Dex-Cool.).

I personally didn't flush the system in mine. Just drained. The reservoir was very clean and only about 30,000 miles on the car. I did it due to the age of the coolant. ** For Glenn too in his post above. My understanding is that the efficiency of the coolant lessens as it gets older, especially getting near the 10 year mark. Our '07's are at that point, probably built in '06. I've never had any mechanic ever tell me to leave it alone indefinitely. Even the 10 year 100k miles GM Dexcool claims are inaccurate with some real horror stories out there.

Thanks NC07 and point taken. I saw a post around here that said for current in the fluid with an amp meter.

Today i received the ford gold coolant from amazon.
So, after flushing the sistem whats the corect % mix do i have to refill, considering that a good amount of distilled water will remain in there ?
And also when flushing the sistem its correct to fill and drain in the same time and start the engine, until the water will be clear?

That's pretty quick delivery time.
There should NOT be a 'good amount' of water remaining in the system if it's drained properly. You want it 50/50 with your concentrated gold coolant. If you want to go 55% coolant to 45% water I doubt you would hurt anything but you want to be as close to 50/50 as possible for maximum efficiency.
