ok, i know this is a lil off topic, but does anyone have any helpful hints for convinceing PARENTS to buy you a mustang? any and all help would be appreciated

Be married for 25 years. Owned a Mustang every day of your life for all those 25 years. Tell your wife how much she means to you and that the car is only a thing and could never replace her. Her having your kids is the best thing that ever happened to you (besides your wedding day). And work on it for two years by dropping hints and plastering your desktop with '05 stuff................................

If you've got a wife/husband that likes cars it shouldn't even be an issue. If they refuse to approve the purchase, go down kicking and screaming. If that doesn't work, get rid of 'em, they're not worth the headache. :angry:

After 23 years of marriage I knew it would take awhile, so I started in the first day I saw the 05 info. Magazine open on the table, picture on the cell phone, comments about selling the current car. The works. She tried all sorts of objections, act your age, that's a car for teenagers, you can't get your Shelby back. etc. etc. The ultimate argument though is "I spend very little of the family budget and I want it"
She finally gave up objecting and now it's just a question of what color GT and Auto or stick

My wife is a Mustang lover also. We have a 1965 Mustang Fastback (Black). When I saw the first pictures of the 05 design, and showed them to her. The first thing she said was we have to get a Black GT to match our 65. Then we will have 40 Years between the Two of them. I ordered a Black 05 GT the week Ford started taking orders for them. I guess I'm kinda lucky I married a Mustang Fan.

I have an '02 SVT Focus, which I love, but the wife hasn't been crazy about it. I mentioned the new design of the Mustang and she said "whatever". Then, last month, 6 of the new ones roared by us on US-23 south of Flint...
She looked at me and said, "Is that the new Mustang?"
I said, "Yes...yes, it is.".
She replied, "You should get one of those."
The car convinced her not me. That is impressive.

My wife also is a big mustang fan we have a 65 coupe and a 98 mustang and when she seen pix of the 05 she fell in love with it allmost as fast as i did. the only problem is that i will probably sell my 98 stang and she wants me to keep it so i can have 3 stangs in the garage
