Buy my recently for sale Lincoln Mark VIII. 300 hp Cobra motor, ultra luxurious, great handling, and insurance right in par with a V6 Mustang.

JK... I'd say if you want something so badly, go for it... never compromise your goals. But, also realize this is a lofty goal, and don't be discouraged if you don't end up with one. If you haven't already convinced your parents to help you buy one, don't hold your breath on it. There's not much above good grades and behavior that will sway mom or dad on a $22k purchase.

here is my situation, I want to be able to drive around in a new 05 mustang but am only sixteen and don't think i could afford it. i'm quite sure my parents wouldn't buy me one, but i am wondering what ideas you might have about convincing them that they want one(which i could then drive). I have already tried leaving pictures of it around the house and talking about all the good things about it.
what do i do?

this is a great site can i stick around for a while?
u know what im glad to hear this post by this kid. dude im 17 and i went thru the same thing soooo listen to this and trust me on this. heres what i did. i saw the mustang in january for the 1st time and did my studying. i was like mom im getting a 2005 mustang. shes like ohh yea wheres the money coming from im not giving u all the money. im like aright well what if i save up $5000 and finance it. she said "ohhh if u do that then by all means shes urs and ill give u money toward it for ur 18th bday (january 14th) and for early graduation. soo the only problem is my dad with the insurance. i told him ur not stopping me and im buying the car soo u have to insure it. but make sure u do this.....i did..........take ur parents for a test drive in the mustang. but wait till ur 17. just schedual it and go they will be forced to take u. the result with me was my mom loved it my dad drove it and had soo much fun and totally support me now cuz im workin my hiney off. soo good luck and study up
