I'm curious as to where the 3425 lb curb weight comes from. Not likely the convertible is that light.

Probably made up. The coupe reportedly weighs in at 3470, so the vert has to be around 3600.

The base price of a 2004 GT convertible is $28,640. Even with just a 5% increase, that's $30,072.

It would be more believable if they didn't use the concept for the picture.

Just a 5% increase? Is there any info on how much the base price increase will be? What is typical for Ford to raise prices for a new MY?

Typical is 2% to 3%, although I suspect people are speculating it will be higher for 2005 because the redesign.

Not again. When will this mis-information finally die?

Nope, it's a two seater, and it comes with the 4.6L SC from the '03 Cobra as an option. I swear! I saw a picture... :worship:

no way it goes up that much. 04 150 is even more revoulutionary then its predecessor with 1000% better interior, fully boxed and hyrdroformed frame 300-900% stronger, completely new 3v engine, double wishbone with coilover front suspension and aluminum lower arms, rack and pinion steering, a phenominal quality increase, and it invoices for less then an 03 model. Bill Ford's way of reviving the company. If he offers this much improvement and little to no gain in cost, they will sell a bunch (going to anyway) and regain a reputation for quality. Go Bill.
