Warranty

To my knowledge, the law of "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" has not been repealed!

I'm sure it only covers "defects" and not "wear".

"and you have all factory recommended service done at Apple Ford"
Have you priced factory recommended for the entire life of a vehicle?
It is a good deal if you have all every little service detail done at the dealership anyway.
Worthless to me.
I just replaced all the brakes in my Ranger for $57.98.
Dealership price @ $698.

I don't think new brakes is factory recommended service ... and brakes have nothing to do with the Engine ..... Factory recommended service to cover the drivetrain consists of fluids and filters ... that's it ... and they are giving you OIL CHANGES for FREE ....

Great, I completely confused you with my example.
When they say all factory recommended service they mean it.
ALL
You don't get something for nothing, I have seen these deals before.
You need to have the dealership do everything.
The manual recommends checking the brakes at the service interval.
The mechanic says they are bad. They must be replaced
.
Let me reiterate:

I'm not confused at all ... in your example the mechanic works for the dealership .. not the factory. So you are saying if the mechanic says your tires are worn you have to buy them at the dealer? If your headlight blows you you have to buy it from the dealer? If your radiator gets a hole in it ... you have to buy it from the dealer?

Not what I said at all.
You are confused.
I said:

I said nothing about a headlight.
Every 5K service:
Rotate and inspect tires; check wheel end play and turning noise
Maybe you don't have to buy their tires, but you do have to have them rotate them.
More silly examples every 15K:
Inspect engine cooling system and hoses. (Yes, you gotta pay the dealership for the radiator... if they find it at an inspection)
Inspect brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums, brake lines and hoses, and parking brake system
Inspect engine cooling system and hoses
Inspect and lubricate all non-sealed steering linkage,ball joints,suspension joints,half and drive-shafts and u-joints
Replace cabin air filter
I ain't saying don't do it. I just wouldn't myself. It is not cost effective for me.

Yes I had that done a month ago. Cost me 53 dollars We have no cabin air filter in 07 GTs. BTW after my factory warranty has expire I don't go to dealers for general work. My Drivetrain I believe is 6 yrs 60k.
I just wanted to know the warranty worked for engine for life.

So a Ford Mechanic at a Ford Dealer told you Mustangs don't have a cabin filter? Wow ... that's scary!

Yes that is scary. Just changed mine out a few weeks ago. Passenger side, under the plastic cowl.
