I have a Redfire V6 vert on order, black top, black leather interior, IUP.

My dealer has a Triple Black GT Vert with IUP in his lot. no ICAP

I really love the Red, the wife really loves the satin silver. But who knows if/when my factory order will get built (ordered just last week).

What would you do?

What if I changed the Triple black GT Vert to have no IUP, and no ICAP?

Hmmm, that is a tough call. Question you would have to ask yourself is what do I really want. If you really want the redfire then go with that one. Hate to see you settle for the other car only to stare every time you see a redfire vert and say, dam I should have waited.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It will be a long time before the adrenalin subsides or the smile leaves your face with that car.

Get the GT - if it's not gone by now.

And oh yeah - if you can bet IUP, get it. It's killer. That dash sets off against the charcoal interior... oh very very well!!

Mark05GTCon,

Don't you ever regret not having ICAP?

Care to put some pics up?

No regrets about ICAP, although I wouldn't kick an '05 out of bed because it had ICAP :-)

I don't have any pics of my interior, but this auction has pics of a charcoal interior with IUP just like mine. Mine in real life seems a little darker than what these pics show - but you get the idea.

Seems quite a bit different than your order so you may not want to do it. Not to mention the extra costs invloved. But if your happy with a black gt and can afford the higher costs for insurance and payment then go for it. I know what I'd do--but that's just me.

I'd be cruising around that black gt.

I would wait for the color I really wanted. Like StangFreak said, if you get a color you don't want, then every time you see the color you wanted go down the road you'll be kicking yourself.

I think that's a tough call. I would have to wait for the color I want. Of course a triple black GT is very sweet.

All I can offer is this. We ordered our GT Vert in November. We were waitting a long time. When Gt's were available to test drive we called all of our local dealers to see who had what. We drove a V6 local and wasn't too happy with the speed factor. So we called arround more. We found a GT coupe in Glen Burnie Maryland about five hours from were we live in Pa. So we went on a day trip just to drive a GT. It was great. The car was the color we ordered, same IUP, and red leather seat and accents. All most what we wanted. This was great. We test drove her. She was great the speed was what we wanted. Felt like a rocket when we put on the gas. Wow! The car was just wonderful. We thoght really hard about weather we wanted to settle for this car or wait. As we left the lot we both thought, here we were waitting for our car. It was not to be built until Feb. And this car is all most fits the bill. For weeks we kicked ourself. We thought we could be driving already. We went home to decide on what to do. When we got home we called the dealer. Of course when we called the dealer about the car it was sold shortly after we left the lot. So we waitted, and waitted, and waitted kicking ourself for weeks. March 18th, came just as we were about to scream. The phone rang and it was there so we went to pick her up. It was so worth the wait. So be patient and it will prove to be worth the wait. Take it from me.

I'm normally an impulse buyer, so I'm probably the last person to lecture someone on the merits of having patience. But in this case, I think it would be prudent to wait for the car you ordered to arrive. The GT is an awesome car for sure, and it has a very strong allure. However, it's not what you wanted to begin with. As you've heard, it is a tough call. Short term gratification may lead to long term pain (in the wallet in particular). Just my 2 cents...

BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT. I dont care for the ICAP myself. Too much red. The concept ICAP for the cobra is what i wanted. Black seats with red up the middle only. I've got the Dark Charcoal interior with the IUP. AMAZING contrast. looks amazing and i wouldnt have gotten any other combination
