Who has the Cobra's XRS 747 and how we'll does it' acutally pick up on signals??

 

not aware of it, but I always use Cobra Electronics Radar Detectors, best in the business, always saved my hiney$$ a bunch of time! I love Cobra Radar Detectors!

Great car, lousy radar detectors.

Passport 8500 X50 is the way to go.

 

Beltronics makes good detectors. My wife had an older 8xx (800 something) model. Saved her from two sure tickets. Then one day someone broke her car window and stole it. So I just bought 2 Bel 965 on Ebay. They have good prices (I believe that buying on e-bay voids warranty though). For instance, top of the line RX65 is $219 and 995 is $160. 965 should be pretty much the same as 995 with the exception of the European ku band and it's not software upgradable (which is OK, since the manufacturer doesn't even provide you with instructions on how to do that So I would recommend Bel as one of the top three brands (in alpha order: Beltronics, Escort and Valentine)

 

Valentine 1 is the best radar detector on the market. Proven time and time again with independent study.
