chroming spoke covers on steering wheel '07
has anyone chrome plated the spoke covers .?
how about the auto shift handle and the shift indicator cover?
how about the trim going around the shift indicator cover?
has anyone been able to disassemble the O/D button and the disengage button mechanism from auto shift handle ,and re assemble them
thx

Well I have painted to trim on the steering wheel black not chrome, and they also sell that kind of stuff. Just makes it easier but it is also to me at least more satisfying to do it your self (as long as it comes out nice) lol. Never tried to disable the o/d on the car. Don't know if I would do that.

Can't speak of the button, but it surely can be replaced. Buttons don't last forever.
Chroming plastic is: Take it to a professional chrome shop and let them do it. They will prep it, coat/plate it with copper, nickel, and then chrome it. Or something like that. However, the problem with chroming plastic is that it flexes and it will pop the plate right off, make it wrinkly and flaky. I'd recommend not doing it, or painting it a color you'd like to see, or wrapping it instead. You can also look into aluminum coating which will go on shiny like a mirror then they clear it over.
For what my opinion/experience is worth (nada?)... anyway, hope it helps and welcome to the forums!
