I prefer to give my kids the gift of understanding value
My parents to this day try to give or buy me stuff, including a house. I just can't bring myself to accept something like that. They even gave me my first car which I gave back two months later when I scrapped enough dough together to get my own junker. But that's just me
Again, if I did buy them cars they would be very safe reliable basic economy cars. If it was a daughter it would be bright yellow with a flashing light on the roof and tires all around the outside like a tugboat to protect her, and the rest of the world FROM her .

He'll get a Focus with air conditioning. If he gets into Yale as well I may opt to let him get power windows.
