Lightbulb Check these out! LED Foglights

http://www.americanmuscle.com/raxiom...ts-0512gt.html

I've been looking for a replacement for my burned stock fogs (I burned them with HID bulbs) and these look like they are the hot ticket!

They are by Raxiom so I expect better quality than eBay stuff. They are LED. A bit pricey though at $179. I got 5% off with a www.retailmenot.com coupon code.

I just ordered a set today. I'll report back as to how they look once I get them!

Those look a bit out of place on that car, honestly. But to each their own! I sincerely hope they fit the bill for ya!

Hey mrkabc,

You saw those too huh? I think they're something out of Mad Max and I'm completely in love with the Clear LED FogLights! I would love to see some pictures and hear your review once they're installed on your car! I can't help but notice that we don't have any product pictures for them either so once they're on the car submit a few photos and a review for us!

Let me know if you're to have any questions and I'm here to help and enjoy!

Alex

(P.S - Shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up with our 6% Forums Discount code too, You're well over 50 posts!)

If anything I think the OP needs "Moar Lights!"

I'm probably getting ahead of myself but I'd love to see something like this on a customers car. I'll getting my nomex flame suit on as we speak!

They're not bad! Definitely different but they look great installed on the cars. They're offered in Chrome, Smoked, and Yellow as well!

If anyone has any other questions don't hesitate to let me know and I'm here to help!

Yeah! I get to be an early adopter! Was hoping they would be here today so I could get started. Ah well... maybe tomorrow.

Ya know, these are the first LED foglights for the Mustang GT. You can get cool ones from Diode Dynamics (Morimoto ones) for the V6 Pony, but nothing else for the GT except for the hideous cheap looking aftermarket ones with the now-tired angel eyes.

I figured, "why not?" with the LED light, will see how the honeycomb pattern shakes out. Can't wait to get them! As I said before, will post pix when I do the install.

They are in!

Here's my review of the Raxiom LED foglights:

I have been searching for LED foglights for my 'Stang for the past year. It seems like every other manufacturer is getting on board with LED lighting, but for some reason the GT is unloved... That's where these foglights come in. At first, the array of nine LEDs looks a bit weird, but considering that this is the 21st century and weird projector/HID/LED arrays are now becoming the norm I didn't see that as a negative for this product.

THE PRODUCT: You get two foglights and an instruction leaflet in the box. Shipping is UPS, and it shows up pretty quickly.

THE INSTALLATION: You'll need a couple of screwdrivers and a T25 Torx bit socket to do this mod. It's very easy. Pop the hood, take out the shroud over the radiator/grille by popping out the plastic retainers (6). Use the two screwdrivers to pull the 7 retaining tabs on the grille, which will release it from the bumper. That's a bit tricky since the tabs are pretty stubborn, but with two screwdrivers (one to pull, one to push the release) you can do it without too much trouble. Once the grille is on your workbench, remove the four screws holding in the plastic retainer/alignment ring for each side using the Torx bit. Unclip each retainer and mount to the new foglight. Remember that GREEN tape is drivers side, and RED tape is passenger. The retainers only mount one way. Screw them back in to the grille with the new lights, plug them in, and clip your grille back on. Replace the shroud, and you're done! If this takes you more than an hour you are really, really crawling.
THE RESULT: The foglights turn on instantly, without the warmup common to HIDs. They are 5000K in appearance - very white with no bluish tint at all. I replaced a set of HID lights in favor of these Raxiom LEDs, so I can answer from that perspective: The LED lights are not as bright as HID lights. They are less obtrusive when on, and do not put out the offensive glare that the HIDs did. From about 10 paces away you can't even tell that the light is made up of nine different LEDs. Street signs and road markings are clearly lit up like my HIDs used to do, and they do make a difference when are turned on.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Easy installation, good looking lights, and good output. I recommend these foglights.

Here's what the foglights look like from about 12 feet away from the front of the car. Note that I have HID headlights, so these things really do put out a good amount of light.
