Hope someone can help....

I started my Mustang 05 GT the other night and within a minute of driving, the message centre reported "Check Brake System". I checked the brakes and everything seemed okay, no change in brake pedal feel and normal stopping power. The 'Parking Brake' and ABS lights were on in the dashboard, along with the TCS being off. I tried to press the TCS to get it back, but it remained off.

Thought it might be a glitch so I stopped the car and started it again, however, the problem still remains. The car has been stopped overnight and this morning the problem is still there.

I still have no issues with stopping. I have checking the fluid level in the tank above the MC and it is at MAX. No leaking of fluid on the tank, other than a bit around the seal....not running down. I have ran a system check and all reports are OK, yet the "Check Brake System" still remains.

Any suggestions on what this might be? How can I pull of error codes, to see what the car believes is faulty? Is there a way to clear the fault and see if it returns??

Cheers and thanks in advance

Ian

It is just a little difficult as I live in the UK. We do have garages that specialise in US cars, however, I just wanted to check all avenues before I wait to get booked in take a 300 mile trip with "Check Brake System" staring at me in the face

Turns out that my GEM module has been cooked. This may have been caused by the light conversion for UK, but the verdict is still out on that one.
