Saw a news story tonite that for"insurance" reasons, Ford will be making changes to the 2007 Mustang. The changes include stronger bumpers and, more interestingly, moving the headlights to reduce damage. Does anyone have any additional information? Moving the headlights would entail a styling change in two years.

I doubt there would be any changes for "insurance" reasons. If there are actually any front-end changes coming for 2007 (sounds fishy to begin with), they would likely have to do with the more stringent safety standards going into effect that year.

Actually the story refered to the current model and said that by 07 we should see a decrease in insurance rates on the 05s. That assumes that the data collected verifies that the 05 is cheaper to repair.

Story is a repost and does not reflect changes in 07, but the current car was already changed... as seen above.
