Hi everyone new member here.

I bought the 05 V6 with the Shaker 500, unfortunately it is the Series A model. Like so many other people here my Mp3's tend to skip. Does anyone know the rated CD Read speed for the Shaker 500, could this possibly be the reason it's skips if the CD are burned at a higher speed than the Shaker reads them?

Great forum, did a lot of research here on the new Mustangs before buying mine.

Thanks

Using slower burn times when burning CDs or DVDs is always a good thing (lowers chances of errors) but in this situation I think it has less to do with your CDs and more to do with the Shaker system. Call your dealership and tell them to order you a replacement Shaker. I do believe you can find a TSB here on the site for the defective Shaker

TSB stands for Techincal Service Bulletin. Check here for the TSB for the Shaker. If you give your dealership the TSB number they should order you a new radio. The Shaker problems should be pretty well known by now, so you may not even need the TSB number good luck
