By the way, I found a forum that talks about priority codes and it states that priority codes rule over the order date. In other words, even though your order date would be newer as long as the priority codes are setup in a line and your order is placed back in that line (example: they have codes 10 through 19 and you are number 12) you should be fine. However, if they give everyone the same priority code, then the system will use order date to determine who is pulled first. Here is the link I found:

Well for now, the sale manager said that she would try to correct it as a mistake so I'll give them the benefit for now. I really want to believe that they will correct this but I'm not going to hold my breath.

If you do look across the border, the GT situation in Canada is much better than south of the border. One of the large dealers around here has 20 gts on the lot, and are charging a little less than MSRP.

However, I do'nt know how hard they are to import back into your country. It is very difficult for a Canadian to buy an American car, and import it themselves into Canada. I suspect it might be more trouble than its worth.

We called a dealer in Canada and they told us they have an agreement with FORD that prevents them from selling cars to US Citizens.

I actually would have bought the vert but they wouldn't honor my $500 over deal on that. I would have to pay $2500 over sticker.
That dealership does plain stink :bang:

I doubt the dealer cancelled this order, the car is probably still on order, and they plan on rolling it into there inventory, I would check this out.

Well I went to the dealer after work tonight. They did in fact cancel the order and I saw all the paperwork. They reordered the car for me with the same specs. The sales manager then called the Ford rep and asked that is car be placed before the others in the place of my original order. Which was suppose to be the next one pulled.

Not sure what will come of this but it cost me more since I now am stuck with the price increases. Oh well I can eat a few hundred bucks if that means some "real" priority is put behind the order.

From what I can tell, having read so many posts from buyers waiting for their cars, the vast majority of long-timers *seem* to be on a plan or getting a good deal. There are exceptions, but those paying MSRP don't seem to be having the hassles.

It seems like the dealers know they can get better money, so customers who negotiate the price down or order under plan are getting the shaft.

...just the vibe I'm getting in reading thread after thread...

I don't agree, I think that it is area allocation, and was the IUP issue for so many orders. I must admit though, I did order mine on a plan, and still C/U after eight weeks arrrgggghhhhhhh.........

Sorry but I agree, you should still find a new dealer. Even if they are being square with you, they don't appear to have enough allocations to make it happen for you. Good luck, hope this works for you.
