Are there tweeters in the doors? I know there is (what appears to be) a 6" mid (maybe 5.25), and then above that...is a grill. Is there a 5x7 in there, or maybe a 4" and tweeter?
Does anyone know for sure?
AND, where are the speakers in the back seat?

Wasn't there a photo that came through this site.... the rear seats were taken out and the speakers were mounted in the floor under the seat. I can't remember where I saw it.... I'll try to find it.

Yet another good thing.. we don't have to drop the tank to get at the fuel up if we have to upgrade/service them
Here's the skinny, I had the pleasure of seeing a shaker 1000 in person yesterday.
It DOES have 8in Subs in the doors along with a 5.25 mid driver and a tweeter in the upper door area for a total of six speakers in the front doors.
The rear deck has a pair of 6x9's and the 2 10in subs in the trunk make 10 total speakers.
In some pre-production marketing materials it has been reffered to as having 9 speakers, They're counting the 2 10in subs as one.
The current brochure gets it right and says the shaker 1000 has 10 speakers.
It sounds great!

well that's what I figured.... that they were subs... just not amped. You'll have to fogive me... I haven't had a Mustang for about 3 years now, and I forgot that speakers could be mounted in the rear deck. I'm drivin' a Bronco right now, and haven't seen a rear deck in about a hundred years.

Ya, it would make no sense to mount speakers under a seat. Only if they were subs but definately not anything trying to produce vocals.

Ok, let me get this straight-
I specifically did NOT order the shaker 500 or 1000... because I wll be adding new speakers, amps, and a head unit.
My plan is to put a component set of 4.5" and tweeters in the upper door...and put a 6" mid in the lower door. 8" seems pointless, because it's too low to play anything over 100Hz really well. Especially if I am putting two 10w6's in the trunk.
Thanks for clearing that up guys.

I just came back from the dealer where I sat in a GT w/ the shaker 500. Didn't see any tweeters.
