Can the roof support a person??
Kind of a weird question, I know...but, do you suppose the roof of the Mustang could support the weight of a person (under 150lbs) if they are spread out evenly?
I can't really ask the question without raising some eyebrows I'm sure!
TIA Kristina

I believe it would support a person, but it would leave a nice dent. I would not suggest letting anyone get on the roof of your car! Invest in a paintball gun and shoot whoever tries such a thing!

Me and my friends used to take turns riding on the roofs of cars like in the movies, so yes it will hold a person to at least 50mph, and it will leave a dent. Windshield wipers are good to at least 60 to keep you on the hood.

Planning a little photo shoot are we?? lol
I think it would do damage unless you kept your butt close to the windshield and A-pillar. That portion is pretty strong as it has to support the car in case of a roll over.

Well the skin is independent of the supports underneath it. But at the edges its very strong because of the bends in the metal. The center of the panel will flex extremely easilly(it moves a ton just when you wax the car). Hood and roof are thinner as they do not bear any loads. The trunk skin is a little thicker.

its me that's planning on trying it so i can't exactly shoot myself with a paintball gun...although that would be kind of funny to watch.
i've been planning on doing a cool photo shoot with my car for quite some time (and no, not nasty string bikinis and clear platform shoe pictures bending over the front bumper, but thanks for thinking of that!)...my bf and a friend are going to help out (they are better with SLRs and lighting and posing etc) and I'm just planning all of the ideas/scenes right now. I have one which would require being on the roof, but not standing on it, that's why I'm asking.
I've kneeled on the cap of my dad's truck (while washing it) and it caved a little but popped back out when I got off. i was hoping the same thing would happen but I'm too scared to try on the Mustang. Maybe if I can keep the weight points towards the edges of the roof, it might work.
PS - in case anyone was confused, the car will be STATIONARY!
