Camber related question
To those who have lowered their rides and had to adjust the camber, I know the camber being off should show up in tire wear (least that’s what I understand) – but is it an auditory thing as well? Can there be a sound showing it is off???
I have a thread in the ISSUES area and have not been able to get any outside input or track down on my own what this da*m sound is that is driving me nuts.

I replaced the front brake pads like I said I was going to do but it is still there:
Had the front wheels off numerous times, there doesn’t appear to be any strange tire wear, the calipers look fine, the brake rotors looks fine… I am at a loss for what could be causing this sound. The only thing I can think of is that a little while before I noticed it, I lowered the front of the car. Had it aligned afterwards and didn’t notice any sound at all right away. A week later I did a Ford show at a track, ran the car a bunch of time (nothing out of the ordinary) and then maybe a week after that, I started to notice the sound. The best way I can describe it is almost similar to (just trying to draw a parallel) a jeep or truck with larger tires and the sound they make. It is most evident after acceleration to 50 or more and then becomes loudest when easing off the gas and coasting. Acceleration at higher speeds and letting off and it is there. It seems to rise in sound a bit during braking, which is why I thought it might be pad related. And finally, when doing a slow speed turn, maybe a few MPH into a driveway, there is a rhythmic thrumming or rubbing type sound.
Any help is appreciated as this is driving me nucking futz!!!!

I am no expert, but from what I know, camber should not cause tire noise at all.
The point of camber is to keep as much of the contact patch as possible since the tire "leans" in a turn. Too much negative camber will show up as wear on the inside of the tire as it is leaning in too far. Too little will show up as wear on the outer portion of the tire.
There is no effect on the rear tires of course, since it is a live axle.
Also, you talk about inconsistent noise (noise...pause...noise) -- any sort of alignment issue should be a steady whine/hum.
