Called to check order STATS, talked to S-Manager
And he told me the first 6 cars will be 6 cylinders and that 8 GT's would be in by end of year. Also that they were not building GT's right now.
So I told him I have a GT on order from June and a 9/27 build date as of 2 weeks ago. I asked him to please check my order to see what the update is.
He called back within 2 minutes and said "Your order shows CLEAN/BUCKED build date 9/27, delivery TBD. Clean means they have all the parts and Bucked means they have a chassis for it." I then said "Bucked would also mean its on a bucket going down the line." He replied "Yes, that's correct, but still I would not expected it until the end of October, as they are not shipping any yet, they have not released any 05's yet for quality reasons they want everything to be OK before shipping." I then told him "They started shipping yesterday." He replied "I have no information on that, But we should have some of them by late October and hopefully yours will be one of them." I thanked him and said "Good-bye."
If that was Thursdays update, thinking it should be built today or finished Monday. I have a friend going on Monday, will try for any information. Anyone else going for sure maybe pictures of our GT???? :worship:

Several things I've learned over the past 9 months:
A) Ford dealers are not the FORD MOTOR COMPANY
B) dealer salesmen only have access to what FORD gives the dealer
C) Brad Barnett is FORD MOTOR COMPANY
D) Information that you all have generously supplied us has enabled us to educate our local Ford dealerships on ordering codes, options and prices.
E) No one on this site should be paying more than invoice/holdback plus 500 bucks for a car that we self designed, spec'd and ordered through dealers that didn't have a clue when it counted.

Personnally if I were these people I wouldn't just "TRUST" the dealer when they tell me it scheduled for delivery tommorow or next week. If I were these people I wouldn't believe them untill they showed me.
Because dealerships are notorious for not knowing what they are talking about.
I agree and 1 thing I learned from this site is there are only a few dealers that are honest by saying "I have no info on the stang and you know more than me." My salesman said he received confirmation that my mustang will not be built until December. I find some humour in that since FORD would not put a build date so far in the future.
About yours being ready by late October, that is very likely
My build date was 9/20 which means the week of 9/20. I Private Messaged BEK with the info, and he said it usually takes 2 weeks to get shipped, and it should be here by late october.

Keep in mine CLEAN/BUCKED TBD as of Thursday.
This dealer is located within 45 miles cross town from AAI. All they have to do is release and then be placed on Transport Truck.
Ford usually has a date lower right side of MSRP, sales guys, what is that date, build or ship? I would say build,
some have said release to ship. I have seen many cars arrive on lots with date just 4-5 days ago, from factories up to Three Hundred miles. If cars were moving out under total normal production, I would have it within 7 days of build. We know this is not so at present and their back logged for quality checks and shipping.
