Which CAI Are you Running?

C&L Aluminum CAI here. I got it because I liked the aluminum look. I don't believe there is very much difference between the CAIs out there, as long as they are not the "tuneless" types.
Got mine from Bamachips! He is the MAN.
You forgot to add GMS and Demolet CAIs in your poll, they are pretty prominent as well.

Awsome... I am looking ot get one, I see the JLT doesn't have a housing with most retailers...while the C&L has a housing to block out the Hot air from the engine. Wondering how much of a difference this makes?

C&l
I had a K&N CAI but knew it was limiting my potential performance so I just swapped it out for the C&L. I picked it up used literally less than one month's use for only $158 shipped! I always see used ones up for grabs on the various forums. People decide to go supercharged so they sell them or when they sell their cars and return to stock they recoupe some oif their money by selling mods.
As far as the cheapo heatshields that come with these, here's a great solution for the JLT. The C&L version's supposed to be here soon.

i got the K&N for 2 reasons.
one was it was said that the K&N didnt need a tune and that was a big selling point
and 2, the plastic tubing just seemed smarter. metal tends to get hot quickly

JLT has the best price/performance. In my case, with a Bamachips tune, it was worth 27.1 HP over stock in an automatic car on 87 octane!
And it does include a heat shield. Use this link, scroll down the page to the 2005-2007 block at left and cllick there. Incidentally, that's my engine compartment in the picture!

I just ordered my JLT2 / SCT2 combo from Brenspeed today. I chose the JLT2 because it was the best bang for the buck, and I never plan on showing my car, so I didn't require the "bling" factor of the C&L or the other "pretty" intakes.

It is not the highest flow and I got mine cheap but, I may change it this season.
The K&N doesn't throw any codes, so it appears to not need a tune.
After running it for a couple thousand miles and the computer working on it there was only a 4hp increase (next to nothing).
My A/F ratio was way too rich from trying to compensate for the extra air.
I got a tune and it has increased power and gas mileage.
I got another 8hp for a total of 12hp SAE to the wheels.
On a very cold day (52 degrees in the garage) we have dyno-ed it @27hp gain uncorrected.
