Buy it yourself... only $10-$15. Ford will charge you $55 to do the swap.

I just changed mine based on the discussion on the earlier thread. I paid $19.22 at the local dealer but one of the links in the earlier thread had some aftermarket pieces much cheaper at base price. Cost would probably come about the same with shipping.

This was my first change after 2 years and about 20K miles. It was dusty and gritty and definitely needed changing. I plan to make this an annual event.

I sprayed isopropanol on the element and used tissue paper to set the fins straight. After air-drying, it appears to remain in the proper shape. Thumbs DOWN for cheap/shoddy manufacturing quality.

Hopefully the aftermarket cabin air filters have better structural integrity. I'm positive that if the supplier had used a more rigid material for the top/bottom pieces, the fins would not collapse so easily.
